4mm knitting needles

DK Yarn in two colours (I recommend a darker colour for the knitting and white for the embroidery)

Abbreviations

SAIP = Slip as if to Pearl

P = pearl

K = knit

[…]x… = repeat x times

Pattern

Cast on: Cast on using a crochet hook. Cast on as if to chain 20, holding the needle between your thumb and middle finger, slip the final loop on the crochet hook onto the needle for a total of 21 stiches – (see video for clearer instructions)

Row 1-34: SAIP, [P, K]x 20

Cast off: SAIP, [P, slip first stitch on right needle over second stitch, K, slip first stitch on right needle over second stitch]x 20, break the yarn and pull the tail end through the final loop left on needle.

Weave in the ends after you have completed the embroidery
